It is important to thoroughly clean the equipment. For best results use the soft or medium bristle brush. For ease, you can use warm water or alcohol. Apply on a damp cloth and then clean the surface.
Avoid using the chemical that causes damage to the machine or does not dip in the water as it will harm the internal parts of the handpiece. Moreover, avoid placing in ultrasonic cleaner as the circuit of dental electromotor may get damaged.
Use of Washer-Disinfector

Clean or Lubricate Deeply
It is important to use good quality service oil and the correct adaptor. Take it and insert it in the handpiece. Moreover, spray for approximately 2 seconds till the oil comes from the head. Do not over oil the handpiece. For better functionality lubricate the spindle or chunk once a day. Use pointed lubricant for this purpose.
Expel Out Excess Lubricant and Debris
To do this step you have to connect the handpiece and insert a bar in the tubing. Now run the handpiece for about 10 to 20 seconds after adding oil. You have to do this step before sterilization. It will help to keep the handpiece clean.
The handpiece is the medicated device. You have to use it in the oral cavity. Therefore, it is important to keep it sterilized. For this purpose keep it in a sterilizer and run the dry cycle. After sterilization removes it from the autoclave. Do not keep it in the autoclave after sterilization is complete.
Keep it Dry
When sterilization is complete, remove it from the autoclave. Now store it in an upright position so it dry internally. Never use it when it is hot or wet. Moreover, never cool it under tap water. Rather place it in a controlled environment and let it cool as well as dry.
Air Supply Checking
To get the efficient working of handpiece always check the air supply in it. Make sure the pressure should not exceed 2.8bar/40psi. if pressure is high it may cause the bearing failure. Therefore, maintain pressure. Furthermore, the air supply must be dry and clean to avoid any unhygienic issues.
